What an absolutely gorgeous day - 24° C, sunny with just a slight breeze. What more could you ask for on the first day of spring.
I went on a lunch-time adventure with a couple co-workers today. Our adventure took us along King Street (we headed west from John Street and walked on the north side and then took a detour north up a little street called Widmer. One of my co-workers knows about this coin finding blog, the other did not and was quite amused when I told him what I did. I found 2008 dime on Widmer Street. To help me along, my amused coworker took a penny out of his wallet and threw it on the ground. I picked it up and gave it back to him. Told him that penny was no good. My coins needed to be truly lost coins; his was a castaway and didn't count so he put it back in his wallet.
Then, on the way back to my office, I found a 1996 penny by one of the neighbouring office towers by the bike rack (just off of King Street, east of John).
Tonight I started a new night class. This instructor seems quite good and thorough. Quite liked her. After class I was walking with a classmate east on King, on the north side of the street. Just east of Toronto Street, in front of a CIBC building, I found a 1997 US penny. She too was amused when I picked up this coin and told her about this blog.
Why does blogging about lost coins amuse people so?
Anyway, I found a total of 12 cents today.
